As of the 18th August 2020, England netball have announced the next step in the return to play. We now enter Stage 4A of the road map, where Team training can return and a modified version of the game can now take place.

We will be returining to training on Wednesday 16th September 2020, But there has been a slight adjustment to the orginal training time to allow time for teams to leave before another team enters for training. 

What we need are doing as a club

All coaches and volunteers will complete COVID-19 training course. 

All first aiders will be updated and follow the guidlines from St john's ambalance 

Our COVID officer Kerry will be over seeing the H&S at training to ensure all coaches, volunteers and members can return to training safetly. 

Our club will have a COVID risk assessment and risk mitigation in place to protect you.

All equipment will be santasied before and after a session.

There will be a break every 15 minutues to santaise hands and balls.

We will have mutiple sets of bibs to avoid any sharing, bibs will be cleaned after each session.

What we need from our members

All members including confirmed new players MUST pay their club annual fee by August 26th 2020, into the club account. 

All members need to be aware of the new modified game rules here

All players returning to training will need to complete a track and trace form on their return ( Form will be sent out via email from the 1st September 2020)

To minimise the risk of contracting or transmitting COVID-19, players must adhere to the following:

  • Do not attend netball training or competition if you are unwell and experiencing symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, fever, fatigue, or shortness of breath.
  • Do not attend netball training or competition if in the last 14 days you have been unwell or had close contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19.
  • Any participant who is unwell should call 111 and self-isolate immediately
  • If anyone in the club setting becomes unwell with a new, continuous cough or a high temperature, or has a loss of, or change in, their normal sense of taste of smell (anosmia), they must be sent home and advised to follow the COVID-19: guidance for households with possible coronavirus (COVID-19) infection guidance.
  • In an emergency, call 999 if they are seriously ill or injured or their life is at risk. Do not visit the GP, pharmacy, urgent care centre or a hospital.
  • Participants should gradually return to training to reduce the risk of injury.
  • Consider vulnerable participants as they may be at increased risk. Apply a ‘Get in, train/play and get out’ philosophy. Players are:
  • Encouraged to shower at home with soap before and after all netball activity.
  • Encouraged to arrive at the venue ready to train
  • To bring all personal items to participate. For example, a player to bring their own netball, towel, and drink bottle; Do not share with others.
  • To avoid unnecessary body contact, for example no hand shaking or high fives

Prepare for training

  1. Do not attend training if you are unwell
  2. Prepare & dress appropriately for training at home. (No Changing Facilities available)
  3. Shower at home with soap before and after netball activities.
  4. Wash or Sanitize your hands before and after training
  5. Arrive at the venue ready to train
  6. Avoid Unnecessary body contact
  7. Wipe & Clean netballs after training
  8. Social Distancing at all times (2m apart)

Do not attend training, if you are experiencing any of these symptoms

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Sore Throat
  • Shortness of breath

 

 

ALWAYS TAKE THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO ENSURE YOU, YOUR COACHES, AND TEAMMATES REMAIN HEALTHY

General Hygiene

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Wash or Sanitize your hands before eating
  • If soap and water are not available, use alcohol based hand sanitiser
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Cover your mouth to cough or sneeze

Netball Hygiene

  • Do not share drink bottles, towels, lip balm or sunscreen with others
  • Place hand alcohol based sanitiser with each group
  • No physical contact pre or post training or games. No high fives, fist bumps or other forms of physical celebrations during games.
  • Minimise position rotations/ and or have multiple set of bibs.
  • Wipe and clean netball and other equipment after training and matches.

3 STEPS TO SANITISE YOUR NETBALL/EQUIPMENT

 

ALWAYS TAKE THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO ENSURE YOU, YOUR COCHES, AND PLAYERS REMAIN HEALTHY.

 

  • Wipe the surface of your netball / equipment using a single Anti-bacterial wipe or Anti-bacterial spray and cloth
  • Dispose of the wipe in the nearest bin.
  • Use hand sanitizer to clean your hands.
